36-72V input to 12V output DC converter circuit using LT3758

This 36-72V input to 12V output DC converter circuit is designed using LT3758 DC Dc controller circuit, manufactured by Linear Technology.
The fixed frequency, current-mode architecture results in stable operation over a wide range of supply and output voltages.
The operating frequency of LT3758 can be set with an external resistor over a 100kHz to 1MHz range, and can be synchronized to an external clock using the SYNC pin.
This 36-72V input to 12V output DC converter circuit accepts an input voltage between 36 and 72 volts, but the LT3758 supports a wide input voltage range from 5.5V up to 100V .
The LT3758 has overvoltage protection functions to protect the converter from excessive output voltage overshoot during start-up or recovery from a short-circuit condition.
This regulator circuit can be used to design various power supplies circuits that will provide a low output voltage up to 100 volts .
