AT Commands
AT commands are a group of commands that can be sent by a terminal or host computer to control the ISU (Iridium Subscriber Unit ) in Command mode.
When the ISU is in command mode (or off-line mode), AT commands can be entered to control the phone.
When in data (also called on-line) mode, the ISU is connected to a remote system and any characters sent it will be transmitted to the remote system. It is possible to enter the command mode without terminating call by using the +++ escape sequence detailed below.
An AT command is a string of characters sent by the DTE (Data Terminal Equipment ) to the ISU while the ISU is in command mode.
To send a command mode to a Equipment we need a software which can communicate with the Equipment and know how to interpret this commands .
A software which can be used to send AT commands is Hyper Terminal and you can find it in Start ( menu ) -> Programs -> Communications -> Hyper Terminal .
First step is to configure the Hyper Terminal port for the communication you need .
After the configuration is done you can AT command from Hyper Terminal to DTE by writing commands in the Hyper Terminal window .
After the command was send we receive some response messages like OK or other messages .

Using the AT Commands you can enter in programming mode that allow you to modify the modem settings .
If you want to see the list of the command supported by modem you can type the AT+CLAC command which returns a list with all commands supported by device .
