Circuit detectors and sensors based electronics projects like: metal detectors circuits, smoke detectors circuit, water detector circuit, light detector and other based sensors projects.

Fluid level sensor circuit using common parts

A very simple fluid lever sensor can be designed using this circuit diagram . This fluid level sensor electronic circuit project is very simple and can be used to control water pump or to activate /stop some devices when the sensor detects presence of water.

This fluid level sensor circuit uses an ac sensing signal to eliminate electrolytic corrosion on the probes .The ac signal rectified is used to drive T1 transistor that drives a 12 volt relay , that can activate or stop some device . R2 resistor is used to modify the sensor sensitivity and can be replaced with a small variable resistor . MC104093B is a p channel quad 2 input NAND schmitt trigger and is pin to pin compatible with the CD4093 . The unused inputs must be tied to an appropriate voltage level , either ground or +12 volts (8,9,12 and 13) and the unused outputs must be left open (10 and 11) .
The circuit can be powered with an input voltage between 3 and 18 volts dc , but in our case the circuit use a 12 volts DC power source .

Heat detector alarm circuit using UM3561

A very simple heat detector alarm electronic project can be designed using the UM3561 sound generator circuit and some other common electronic parts . This heat detector electronic circuit project uses a complementary pair comprising npn and pnp transistor to detect heat . Collector of T1 transistor is connected to the base of the T2 transistor , while the collector of T2 transistor is connected to RL1 relay . T3 and T4 transistors connected in darlington configuration are used to amplify the audio signal from the UM3561 ic .

When the temperature close to the T1 transistor is hot , the resistance to the emitter –collector goes low and it starts conducting . In same time T2 transistor conducts , because its base is connected to the collector of T1 transistor and the RL1 relay energized and switches on the siren which produce a fire engine alarm sound .
This electronic circuit project must be powered from a 6 volts DC power supply , but the UM3561 IC is powered using a 3 volt zener diode , because the alarm sound require a 3 volts dc power supply .
The relay used in this project must be a 6 volt / 100 ohms relay and the speaker must have a 8 ohms load and 1 watt power .

Light alarm schematic circuit project

A very simple light alarm schematic circuit project can be designed using some common electronic parts, as you can see in the circuit diagram bellow . This light alarm schematic circuit project will sound as soon as the drawer is opened and light falls on the Darlington phototransistor. The output alarm may be redesigned to activate a relay or triac.

This simple light alarm schematic circuit project use a MAL12 LDR photoresistor as a sensor .
The 14011 quad , 2 input, NAND gate is wired up to oscillate when the input to it goes high, that is the BC557 transistor turns on after light is detected by the MAL12.
The oscillating output from the 14011 turns the BC547 on and off , making the buzzer to sound.
After the alarm has started and it is put back into dark conditions , alarm will continue to sound for about 3 - 5 seconds. This is due to the 1uF capacitor and 4M7 resistor which keep the input to the 14011 high .

The circuit is very simple and must be powered from a simple 9 volts DC power supply or a 9 volt battery .
