MCP1640 step-up DC DC converter circuits

The MCP1640 is a high-efficiency, fixed frequency, synchronous step-up DC DC converter designed to provides an easy-to-use power supply solution for applications powered by batteries ( NiCd, NiMH, one-cell Li-Ion or Li-Polymer ) .
The MCP1640 is designed with low-voltage technology that allows the regulator to start up without high inrush current or output voltage overshoot from a low 0.65V input.  In stand by applications, the MCP1640 operates and consumes only 19 μA  .
MCP1640 has a high efficiency up to 96% offering features like overheating protection , low noise and many other .
The MCP1640 can provide the following output current :
- IOUT > 100 mA @ 1.2V VIN, 3.3V VOUT
- IOUT > 350 mA @ 2.4V VIN, 3.3V VOUT
- IOUT > 350 mA @ 3.3V VIN, 5.0V VOUT

The output voltage provided by the circuit can be adjusted  between 2 and 5.5 volts requiring a maximum input voltage  £ VOUT < 5.5V .
As you can see in these two applications circuit diagrams the ic can be easy configured for alkaline or lithium ion batteries using few external components and almost the same components value and configuration .
This DC converter can be used for powering portable devices like : personal medical products , wireless sensors ,handheld instruments , GPS receivers , bluetooth headsets , etc.

LT3032 dual voltage linear regulator

The LT3032 integrated circuit is a dual, low noise, positive and negative low dropout voltage linear regulator capable to deliver up to 150mA with a typical 300mV dropout voltage.

LT3032 regulator has a low quiescent current (30μA operating and <3μA in shutdown) and well-controlled in dropout .

The output voltage from the LT3032 can be adjusted down to 1.22V and up to 20V . Also the LT3032  voltage regulator has a low dropout voltage of 300mV/Channel . As  you can see in this schematic diagram the LT3032 require few additional external components to work .

ZL2106 Digital-DC Step-Down DC-DC Converter

The ZL2106 is an innovative power conversion and management IC that combines an integrated synchronous step-down DC/DC converter with key power management functions .
The power supply circuit build around the ZL2106 IC can provide an output voltage from 0.54 volts up to 5.5 volts  from an input voltage range between 4.5 volts and 14 volts.
Internal low RDS(ON) synchronous power MOSFETs enable the ZL2106 to deliver continuous loads up to 6A with high efficiency.

The ZL2106 also supports phase spreading to reduce system input capacitance.
This power supply circuit diagram will provide a 3.3 volts output from an 12volts input .
Main features of this converter are :Integrated MOSFET switches , 6A continuous output current , ±1% output voltage accuracy , Snapshot™ parametric capture , I2C/SMBus interface, PMBus compatible ,  Internal non-volatile memory (NVM) ..
