NCP372 positive and negative overvoltage protection controller

ON Semiconductor introduces new positive and negative overvoltage protection controller .

The NCP372 positive and negative overvoltage protection controller is able to disconnect systems from its output pin when wrong operating conditions are detected at it’s input.

The NCP372 overvoltage protection offer both positive and negative overvoltage protection up to ±28 V.

The NCP372 is able to instantaneously disconnect the output from the input due to integrated Low Ron Power NMOS, if the input voltage exceeds the overvoltage threshold (OVLO) or undervoltage threshold (UVLO).

The NCP372 provides a negative going flag (FLAG) output, which alerts the system that a fault has occurred.

NCP372 device has ESD−protected input (15 kV Air) when bypassed with a 1.0 _F or larger capacitor.

NCP372  is ideal to use in portable applications like : cell phones , camera phones , digital still cameras , personal digital assistant , MP3 players ,GPS for overvoltage protection .

Other features of the NCP372 positive and negative overvoltage protection chip are : overvoltage protection up to 28 V , negative voltage protection down to −28 V , reverse current blocking , On−Chip Low RDS(on) NMOS transistor ,  Overvoltage Lockout (OVLO) , Undervoltage Lockout (UVLO) , Soft−Start , alert FLAG Output , shutdown EN Input , ESD Ratings: Machine Model = B Human Body Model = 2 .

Microchip Technology Inc . introduce new series of batteries chargers for Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) Battery  , Single-Cell Li-Ion / Li-Polymer Battery , Dual-Cell Li-Ion / Li-Polymer Battery .

With similar design and and easy to configure new chip batteries chargers are : MCP73123 and MCP73223 for Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) Battery , MCP73113 and MCP73114 for single-Cell Li-Ion / Li-Polymer Battery , MCP73213 for dual-Cell Li-Ion / Li-Polymer Battery .

All chargers are designed for battery charge management for  space-limited and cost-sensitive applications providing specific charge algorithms to achieve optimal capacity and safety in the shortest charging time possible. LTC2938 , LTC2939 4 and 6 channels supply monitors

Linear Technology LTC2938  , LTC2939 configurable 4 and 6 channels supply monitors for that need watchdog supervision.

LTC2938 can monitor up to 4 channels and LTC2939 can monitor up to 6 channels and they can be used in applications like :  Multivoltage Systems , Telecom Equipment , Network Servers and other applications ehere the voltage monitor is required .

Using an external resistive divider connected to the program input. one of sixteen preset or adjustable voltage monitor combinations can be selected .

The reset and watchdog timeout periods can be adjusted  using external capacitors.

Main features of the LTC2938 , LTC2939 voltage monitors are : Simultaneously Monitors Four (LTC2938) or six supplies (LTC2939) , sixteen user-selectable combinations of 5V, 3.3V,2.5V, 1.8V, 1.5V, 1.2V and/or ± adjustable voltage.

Thresholds ,guaranteed threshold accuracy: ±1.5% , adjustable reset and watchdog timeout , low supply current: 80μA ,guaranteed RST for VCC > 1V, high temperature operation to 125°C .
