LT3971 monolithic buck switching regulator

The Linear Technology has introduced the  LT3971 monolithic buck switching regulator .  LT3971 regulator accepts a wide input voltage range up to 38V and low quiescent current design 2.8μA of supply current while regulating with no load.

The LT3971 buck switching regulator can deliver a maximum output current of 1.2 A and a maximum output voltage of 30 V . The LT3971 low ripple Burst Mode operation maintains high efficiency at low output currents . For fast transient response and good loop stability is used an internally compensated current mode topology . The LT3971 has a adjustable frequency from  200kHz to 2MHz which is user programmable . The LT3971 utilizes a high efficiency 2.4A, 330mOhm switch, with the necessary boost Schottky diode, oscillator, control and logic circuitry integrated into a die analog .

The 3971 has many other features like : Ultralow Quiescent Current 2.8µA , Low Ripple Burst Mode® Operation , Wide Input Voltage Range: 4.3V to 38V  ,1.2A Maximum Output Current  , Adjustable Switching Frequency: 200kHz to 2MHz , Fast Transient Response  ,Accurate 1V Enable Pin Threshold  ,Low Shutdown Current: IQ = 700nA , Power Good Flag ,  Soft-Start Capability ,Saturating Switch Design: 0.33 Ohm On-Resistance , Output Voltage: 1.19V to 30V .
